The
Contemporary Keyboardist for Beginners: Ever since
The Contemporary Keyboardist was released in 1985,
it has been a best seller. Even though it actually covers
beginning to advanced, it's really an all inclusive huge
reference manual meant for intermediate or advanced players.
It however can be used as a text for beginners as long as
there is some supervised programming and instruction which
is why I urge you, if you're serious about becoming a good
player, to enroll in my custom Contemporary
Keyboardist on line course. That said, My publisher
and I decided that it would be good if I wrote a book for
beginners in lesson sequence format, hence The Contemporary
Keyboardist for Beginners. It will consist of approximately
12 to 16 lessons each lesson with a theory and practical
assignment. It will cover all basics and include basic ear
training, technique, harmony, rhythm and improvisation studies.
The book will come with an audio CD demonstrating how each
lesson should be played. Each lesson will have a checklist
so when you complete each section you'll have a record of
your progress. I hope to have this completed and available
by early 2005. - John Novello |
